Cheerful sounds and ringing melodies abound in this lovely collection of medieval music from the countries of the Holy Roman Empire and beyond, drawn from manuscripts of the late 15th century.
Selections on this disc include music from all over Europe including England, Italy, Scotland, Germany, France and Spain. While several tracks do include vocals, many of the tracks are instrumental, using a variety of old world instruments such as gittern, hurdy-gurdy and dulcimer, as well as more recognizable pieces like bagpipes, lute, harp and flute. It is the perfect soundtrack for your dinner party or a Sunday afternoon drive.
