The delicate design used for this necklace is based on earrings in a mummy portrait in the Museum’s antiquities collection at the Getty Villa. An inscription on the cartonnage, or linen mummy case, identifies the portrait’s subject as ICIDOPA (translated as Isidora).
Pendant is 1¼" H x ¾" W - with an 18" chain
